Wilderness homesteading has been growing in popularity now for many years. Many people are growing tired of the noise, pollution, congestion and necessary debt of city living to instead move to the country and live off the land. In 2001, we left our city apartment and progressively transitioned further out into the country eventually having a cabin in the middle of a 50 acre woodlot with the closest neighbor about a mile away down a rough dirt road. While the lifestyle has not been easy, it has taught us a lot about ourselves and what our abilities are. In the coming months we hope to develop a number of resources on homesteading that we will be advertising here and in our group. Please check it out and don’t hesitate to say hello 🙂Â
